Survey says..... two thumbs up!

When Chris and I made our decision on the Palmetto Grove house, we based our decision soley on the floor plan....

I know what you are thinking, so here let me say it for you......

WHAT?!?!?!?! Who does that?!?!?!

Today we had the chance to go out to another community in East Orlando to check out a Palmetto Grove that is ahead of construction.  Although there is no drywall up yet, we got an idea of what our home will look like based off of the beam placements.

We could not be happier with our decision and cannot wait until we break ground!!!!  The one room we are most excited about is the upstairs bonus room.  We gave up having an upgraded master suite because we would rather have the additional entertaining space!

After seeing what our home will look like, we left giving this decision two big thumbs up!

WOW very cool! Last time I checked on that one it was only in block stage. I'm gonna take another ride up there on Monday. Did they mention when they would be in Drywall?

..and Im so sorry...I told you it was already in drywall because thats what Shawn told me. I apologize. I figured he was probably right because they started framing a while ago, but I guess not. :(

They didn't mention when drywal will start, but I am guessing soon, the living room was the holding place for the drywall so it was all over. But with the framing we were able to walk upstairs and see everything. We will deffinately be going back once drywall is up so we can get a better idea.

My only complaint was the direction the island faces :( I wish it faced out towards the family room instead of the dinette.... ohwell :(

Thats funny you say that because I asked about the same exact thing! I guess its how big the island is and if they turn it it left very little room to walk through on both sides. Which after looking at it I totally understand.

yea after looking at it I understand why they did it... but I guess it just seems "traditional" for it to face the other way. Oh, who am I kidding, I just want to be lazy and be able to cook and watch tv... lol j/k.

While I understand not being able to see a finished product it still makes sense to keep visiting the other one that is under construction. It might raise questions about why things are done a certain way...I was going to say it might give you ideas about changes you might want to make, but if I remember correctly based on posts from Noob, your sales rep is not really open to a lot of changes if any at all...even if they are kind of standard.
